Club Night – Macro
This weeks club night was a practical session, this time turning our attention to macro photography. Due to an unforeseen problem our main speaker was running late so our own Mark Ferguson stepped in and gave, while totally unprepared, a very informative talk on macro techniques and equipment.
Following the talk the group broke out their equipment and started to photograph a world that was totally alien to most. Shells, flowers, wood, stones and bugs all became the centre of attention.
This is the beauty of a club – macro photography involves using equipment that most photographers don’t own. So it’s great that members who do own specialist equipment willingly allow it to be used by members of the group.
All in all a very enjoyable night indeed. Many thanks to everyone for attending, who allowed their equipment to be used and offered advice throughout the night.
