Club News – NIPA Round 4 Open

Last Thursday saw the selection of our club images for Round 4 of the NIPA interclub competition. It was an open round which meant any subject could be entered and as usual our members provided a wide variety of subjects. Our judge for the evening was ex-NIPA president Brian McKenna. Brian was to judge our last round but due to rescheduling circumstances on our part he couldn’t attend then but we’re thankful he could this time.

With years of experience Brian was a pleasure to listen to, giving out critique and encouragement to all the members who had entered. He also mentioned to one or two members afterwards how impressed he was with the quality of the images on display. Very encouraging for our club.

With only a few years in existence and being a relatively small club it’s testament to our members enthusiasm for their pastime that we are currently in 7th place in the NIPA competition. Can we make it into the top four and secure a place in Europe next year? Sorry couldn’t resist some football talk 😉
